Borrachos Scholarship Fund 2025
The Borrachos organization is proud to announce our Inaugural Borracho Scholarships. Through your commitment to the organization and its mission, we will continue to change the lives of children, teens, and adults in many ways. These scholarships are being made available through the Borracho Scholarship Fund, derived from financial contributions, sponsor monies, and your commitments to successful watch parties.
Purpose:
The mission of the scholarship is to provide financial assistance for college tuition to individuals that are enrolled as high school seniors or college freshmen (finishing 1st yr in college regardless of designation). Students who are graduating early as part of an early college high school program or similar, are also encouraged to apply.
We are inviting students who are direct bloodline relatives of a Borracho numbered member to apply for an opportunity to win a scholarship for the 2024-2025 academic school year. With your support, your student will have an opportunity to be considered for this college tuition assistance. New this year: if there is an insufficient number of entries by March 31, 2025, a Borracho member will be allowed to sponsor one (1) non-bloodline (family friend, neighbor, etc.) student. All rules and deadlines will still apply.

Description:
The Borracho Scholarship Fund will be awarded a total of $2,000. The scholarships are meant to assist students who will be incoming college freshmen as of Aug 2025 or continuing onto their second year of post-secondary education (current college freshmen or students in their 1st year of college who may be classified as a sophomore due to college credits earned in high school) or students enrolled at an accredited trade school.
Awards:
Awards will be distributed directly to the recipient once verification of enrollment is completed. Scholarships will be awarded as follows:

-
Gold Award Recipient: $1,000.00
-
Two Silver Award Recipients: $500.00 each

Criteria:
The Borracho award scholarships are based on a comprehensive process. Areas that are reviewed by the committee include but are not limited to the following: Academic Accomplishments, Community Service, References, and a Personal Essay. The Borracho Scholarships are awarded without regard to race, religion, color, ethnicity, gender or sexual orientation. Scholarships awarded are based upon the availability of funds and qualifying criteria.
